Agreement to a new study, the type of man who give the woman’s heart flutter has a lot to see if it was a “daddy’s little girl.”

Women who get along with their parents when they were girls are attracted to men who resemble their parents, while women who had a bad relationship between father and daughter do not like.

Lynda Boothroyd, a psychologist at the University of Durham in England, and his colleagues at the University of Wroclaw and the Institute of Anthropology in Poland asked an anthropologist to make measurements on the photographs of the faces of 15 men, and also measure these aspects of the face in photographs of the fathers of 49 Polish women who participated in the study.

The anthropologist calculation details of 15 different characteristics of the face, such as lips, nose, cheekbones and eyebrows - as each side in terms of height and width. The researchers also compared the photos of 15 men with the faces of the father to determine the extent to which resembled one of the other.

The women then rated their childhood relationships with their parents on the basis of how they felt emotionally with their parents and how long they had spent their parents with them. Women were divided into two groups based on forming valued their relationships with their parents, positive or negative.

Then, researchers asked each woman to evaluate the photos of 15 men to see which found most attractive.

Women who had said they had positive relationships with their parents were much more likely to be attracted to men who resembled their fathers, the researchers discovered. Women who had negative relationships with their dad did not find attractive men who resembled their fathers.

“While previous research has suggested that this is the case, these results show that the quality of a daughter’s relationship with his father has an impact on men she finds attractive,” Boothroyd said in a prepared statement. “This shows that our human brain is not limited to construct prototypes of the ideal face based on those people we see around us, but what we built on the basis of those people with whom we have a very positive relationship.”

Although nobody knows for sure why women show these preferences, a woman with a good relationship with his father can pick a man like his father in the hope that it will also be a good father and husband, wrote to investigators.

This study tells us more than ever that no one can know what exactly is the “preferred type” of someone.
